By popular demand we are expanding our Farm to Forest mission to include a more traditional preschool setting-all while staying rooted in the nature-based learning you love. This unique program offers the best of both worlds: sensory-rich exploration on the Family farm and learning about animals, adventures in the forest, and focused creative and cognitive & academic skills to strengthen literacy, early mathematics, and science in our brand-new Art studio preschool building. Our organic approach: At Whidbey Forest Friends we believe Children learn best when they are truly engaged. We foster organic learning by following the natural curiosities of the children, turning daily farm and forest discoveries into deep, hands-on educational moments. We don't just memorize facts; we experience them - building science, math, and social skills through real wonder and play. *Our curriculum is emergent; each week, we will develop an ongoing project that evolves based on the shifting interests and curiosities of the children. -(Meaning): *We practice interest-led learning, where our weekly projects are shaped by the children's inquiries, allowing our studies to grow and change alongside of them. Small classes, big adventures: By keeping our groups small, we create a safe, supportive space where every child's voice is heard and every discovery is celebrated. What Makes this class Special? 1. Best or Both Worlds: Curriculum We balance unstructured forest play with the intentionality of a classroom setting. 2.
